    It was added in 1954, but It's still the correct wording. At least for the last 57 or so years.

    It should be removed. Not only is it a relic of the cold war, it really damages the flow.

    I like the phrase and it has 57 years of precedent now. I am not surprised that there are those who don't like it as our society has become very anti religion. I suspect it was no accident and at least NBC didn't claim that yet.

    Which is funny because our founders used that religion as the main basis for this countries values, also allowing freedom of religion for those that believed differently. Now my children can't pray in school but devout Muslims are allowed a time of quiet where the can pray three times a day in school. What a crock of $hit!!!
