The Game of Football---Season 2

Thanks JZ for the reminder...I totally planned on doing this and forgot. Lets get it going again boys.

Ok, so how about year #2 for this game on here---in honor of the Pigskin Season.

One post per person, per week to pick the winners of each Pro Football Game that weekend...with the tie breaker being the total points scored on the Monday Night Game.

Each persons picks have to be in by 11:59pm the night before the games kickoff (ie this Saurday night, Wedneday night prior to Thanksgiving, ect.).

Winner gets a minimum of 4 cigar selection ...no rules on the sticks, but of course no Phillies or Black N Mild either. Winner of each week becomes the sender to the winner the next week...and you can play every week you are eligible if you desire.

Hope to have some takers on this one...get your picks in and I will have a nice little something out to the winner about this next time week to start the season.

I like this idea a lot more. This is my second year playing this game and I've always enjoyed it exactly as it is. Vulchor, and others, I believe you are looking for something more alongs the lines of gambling which I rarely involve myself in. I've always viewed this thread as a great way to enjoy the football season, play a rather simple game, and trade around some cigars as well. I, personally, would have great appreciation if this thread remained the same.

Sure seems a better bet to me getting a nice little package with a few dozen cigars than just getting a handful and then shipping out another handful 5 days later.

Personally, I stay away from the high-stakes games here.... just don't have the room for big bombs. I started collecting cigars as a "small" hobby on the side & have no intentions of it being anything other than "small".

Actually, Ripp is the winner. You stating that he picked Miami to win made me go back to my spreadsheet and check it for accuracy because I had him down as picking New England. I think I was reading a lot of JZ's picks who posted just below him as I transcribed the teams to the Excel document. Long story short, I had a lot of picks wrong and after a revamp and a recount, Ripp has 9 correct picks.

Sorry for the confusion. I'll try to double check my tracking spreadsheet for now on. Congratulations Ripp!!!
