Lighter flame changing colors?

I just recently got a new lighter that burns normally and blue for 4-5 seconds but then it will flicker and then start burning green. I've heard of companies using copper and other metals to make the flame burn different colors but is this delay normal?

It might have to do with the temperature of certain metals.

My girlfriend got me a lighter where when you ope it the chicks *** flash on and off and she actually moans at you. Then when you light it, the flame starts out blue and then about 1 sec into it it turns red.

I bet that what ever metal they are using needs to be at a certain temp before it turns green
