What Fuente is this?
Options
so my local B&M had some fuente 5 packs for $15 so I grabbed one... i didn't even think to ask what it was... based on the price point I know it's a basic stick, but I'm just curious of to call it... It says "Gran Reserva"... i'd say it's about 5x50... My guess is it's the Chateau Fuente Maduro... pic sux... i'm no Ansel Adams

I'm going to guess it's a Chateau Fuente Maduro
-
It's either the Chateau or the Rothschild, both very similar.
-
kinda what I figured... thanks! I hope it's a good smoke... at $3 each, it's a solid deal
-
I think most of their labels say Gran Reserva, which really doesn't help most people. That's the only thing I can't stand about Fuente cigars.

How can you tell. I have one that is not maduro but has a black band on the foot. It was a gift and I have no idea what it is. Is there a way to find out or just have to know your Fuente?kuzi16:ARTURO FUENTE CHATEAU SERIES DOUBLE CHATEAU MADURO -

Reserva has green on the bottom of the band
Sungrown is black on the botom of the band with a black ribbon
Shade grown is green on the botom of the band with a green ribbon
Anejo has a cream bottom and a red band and also says anejo
Don Carlos has black on the botom of the band and no ribbon
the hemmingway is the only one that is confusing. it has the same set up as the Don Carlos, but they are all a perfecto vitola of various sizes.

I'd call it a figurado, not a perfecto.....kuzi16:the hemmingway is the only one that is confusing. it has the same set up as the Don Carlos, but they are all a perfecto vitola of various sizes. -
A perfecto is a figurado, figurado is a generalization of anything not a parejo. A perfecto refers to a taper at the head and foot, therefor kuzi is correct in how he refers to the Hemingway series.clearlysuspect:
