California Casino Herf - DETAILS

Ok, so I propose Saturday, January 15th as the date. Over 1 month away, so time for everybody to plan, I'd think. Pertinent info:
-Date: 1/15/2011
-Time: 12:00pm (noon)
-Place: Thunder Valley Resort in Lincoln, CA
-Plan: Lunch at any of the many food venues at the casino, then a variety of table and slot games available to play. Drinks, further food, and even cigars available for purchase on site.
-Accommodations: I believe the casino hotel starts rooms around $150, but I'm not positive. I can organize up to two rooms at my hotel for $50/night...potentially more than 2 - up to my GM's discretion, and if not, then further rooms would be $84. PM me for further information on my hotel.
Input and any further ideas are encouraged and appreciated.

Eh...less so than you might think. As long as you weren't ordering drinks, or making a ruckus at a table, I doubt you'd even get carded. I always go in the Valet entrance, and they don't even have someone there checking IDs. Not to mention, being with a group of guys who look of age (and then some, if some of our older CA brothers come out), I really don't think you'd have any problems.Christian_Sapp:im down for a nor cal herf but getting into the casion might be a little bit of a problem0 -

If this is going to happen A) not hellaciously far from San Francisco, and
the week following Xmas, I may actually be able to attend! Not 100% certain yet but there is a chance I might be in SF then for work, and I would love to crash the party!
Of course, if all these variables do NOT fall into place and I still end up coming out there, would love to get together with any BOTL who are close for a stick or two!

It's about 2 hours from SF, but so far it looks like there's two guys from the SF area that would be coming up, so maybe there's a carpool opportunity. How did I miss this... Im a Card Carrying Memeber of Thunder Valley.... It isnt my Favorite I have never won a DIME there. Although I smoke Cigars there. I not a Fan of the Place myself, Im more a Red Hawk Casino Guy but I would definately Be down to go to Thunder Valley for a Herf.... I get Free Room Offers all the time ! But they are always weeknights and have black out dates.... I have 2 free rooms right now sunday through thursday till December 23. Let me know whats Up on this... there is actually A HUGE herf Being Formed by a Bunch of guys from the Sacramento Cigar Society at Red Hawk NOW i was sitting in on a Meeting at Dr's Yesterday Burning an LFD when they were talking about it... its going to be around Christmas.0 -
I'm in if I can make it, time permiting with the wife, kid and work. I'm a forum newbie but 4+ year Ccom customer, so I'd love to meet some of you guys.
And thundervalley isn't too far from me probaby 2.5 hours, but I'd be way more likely to be able to make the 30 min drive and hit up an SF cigar bar. So I'll keep checking the thread and see what pans out.0 -

Thunder Valley is a great place to smoke. Lots of cigar smokers there all the time (a few great shops in the area). I like Redhawk also but honestly I feel TVC has a more "open" feel to. I can walk around the place and feel like I just walked a mile. Redhawk feels like I just went to my community mailbox lol. I might go to TVC tonight as a matter of fact! Not sure if I'll bring a smoke but I'll keep an eye out for what others are burning.0

Which cigar bars are you looking to go to? There are two I know of. The first is Cigar Bar, but I heard their license is going away so they won't allow smoking anymore. The other is Occidental, which is nice but it's pretty small. I've only gone there with 2-3 others at a time - if I ever went with a big group, there might not be enough room for everybody!robbyras:
