    Yes, too high. I have to move my humidors to the basement in spring to keep temps down.

    watch out for beetles, and mold if your rh is high too

    Yep. take out the humidity for a while and let it settle out. I like to keep mine about 68-69 rh.

    I think it would depend on how long it is at 78, wouldn't it?

    For a few hours a day? I can't see how that would cause irreversible harm, but maybe I am wrong.

    For several days? Yes that would be too high

    Yes. My temp gets high in the summer because I have no fans or electronic anything, just humis with beads in them. My RH stays put and I've never had a problem.
