Pretty sure Florida has this as well; IIRC, there were some commercials a few months back about how to get a "free" cell phone and plan if you were on welfare or public assistance. Bleh - if you look at the reports of US "poverty", more than 90% of households considered "in poverty" have cell phones, cable tv, etc - it's almost unheard of for someone in the US to not have the basic necessities, let alone luxuries like cable and phone service.

I wonder how many people who are on welfare have a nice plasma tv in their living room...just curious. My mom said someone was trying to sell her their food stamp card last week. Guess u can't by crack with them...too bad.xmacro:Pretty sure Florida has this as well; IIRC, there were some commercials a few months back about how to get a "free" cell phone and plan if you were on welfare or public assistance.
