Prepping the humidifiers

Howdy folks,
Another new guy here 
I got this ammo box style humidor, but no instructions as to how to treat the dual humidifiers.

I can only assume I'd just drip a bit of the distilled water into the slits, since that seems to be the only opening... but I don't want to take any chances of screwing things up, and I'm not sure how much water to use. I've been studying up here on the hygrometer calibration and the humidor seasoning and all that good stuff... but I didn't see anything about this particular style of humidifiers.
Its probably an awfully silly question, but humor me.

The gold/silver pucks in the lid are your humidification devices. Yeah, you can pour a little distilled water in there to start off with, but you also want to season your humidor. Look further down on the 101 list to see directions on seasoning.
