Humidor question

in Cigar 101
I am fairly new to cigars and just got a new 300ct Humidor. What is the best way to condition it. Wipe it down with distilled water or buy one of the kits? Also, I have nowhere near enough cigars to fill it even part of the way and with the holidays so close I won’t be able to start filling it for some time. Should I hold off conditioning it until I have the cigars to fill it?

Also, It has 2 of the Xikar humidification units attached to the lid with the gel in them. How often will I have to refresh the PG solution in them?

    Welcome to the forums! I just bumped a thread with a great method for humi seasoning. Read it, know it, live it.
    Also, head over to the General section and introduce yourself. Hang out a while, you wont regret it!
