I'm looking for a cabin deep in the woods to rent. Something that is accessible by my wife's to Toyota corolla or my mustang. I want a real getaway and preferably somewhere with a crapper and shower. I found a few online that we are gonna try out. But want more input.

I was hoping for something within a few hour drive... But I guess beggars can't be choosers. Lol

Well if you ever get on the wrong plane to Portland, and end up in Portland Maine instead of Oregon, you have a place to stay. Beautiful country out there, good luck in your quest.

Forest Service used to rent out cabins and some of their watchtowers that are no longer useful to them, might check that out.

I actually found that stuff earlier today at work.... it looks really appealing! Especially the old school watch towers!

Stub Stewart State Park, about an hour from Portland.
    The views are awesome.
