ok I heard that the solution that your pose to use on a humidifier cartrige is glycol! is this true, and what is the mixture of glycol to water in the bottle.. why I ask is at my work we use glycol for cooling. and I was wondering if I could use it.....for my humidifier cartrige....

Short answer...no. You're only half right about the name, it is actually propylene glycol that is in the PG solution...hence the PG.

yes, that's what we have is PG, and so I should be able to recharge my humifier..

it has to be mixed to very exact standards.
i have heard of people mixing it themselves but i hear its a real pain.
seriously the xikar jars or the jars you can find here at cigar.com or the beads are the way to go. -
Not sure I would risk it - maybe you can find out a formula online?
