I'm thinking of buying one of these because the price is just so right, and I need a humidor (and TBH 20 stock is more than enough for me). Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they good humidors? I got an old one from my dad that I'm pretty sure is useless because it just can't hold humidity, so I'm wondering if this humidor solves that important problem
Are there any other comparable but better/cheaper humidors out there? This seems to be about the best deal I've found.

If you are gonna get it, get this deal here so you get sticks too:

I got it, and the humidor is great for a beginner humidor. I had no problems keeping humidity and temp at the right level. -
Humidor shopping is a funny thing....... I'd never try to steer business away from this site. They sell top quality humidors, for sure. And if I had it to do all over again, I'd probably try one of their cigar/humidor combos. That Gurkha sampler with the humidor looks like a great deal.
That being said........ If you really enjoy the hobby and you start branching out, you're going to run into the problem of trying to figure out what size is "big enough". I started out as a noob with a 50 count humidor. Four months later I'm already contemplating a "Tower of Power" purchase in the near future!
I'd save up $300-$400 first and then shop around for a 150+ct that's top quality. Waxing Moon Wood has some real nice ones..... -
Wow!! That's unbelievable. It's $10 cheaper than the humidor alone and you get sticks
I was going to go with this deal:
http://www.cigar.com/cigars/YouPickOffer.asp
To get some free cigars, but this seems like a better deal.
So what's up with this? Is it a different humidor? Is there a reason why it's such a good deal?
EDIT: lilwing, there are a couple of limiting factors. I'm a college senior (on a college budget), and I might be travelling abroad next year in which case the humidor is unlikely to come with. I think within a couple of years I'll definitely be upgrading, though, but for this price I might as well get some good storage for now... -
That "$100 value" is what you'd save if you bought the cigars they feature as singles - either deal will do you fine, so it just depends on what cigars you like

Thanks for all the tips! So I suppose the question is whether to go with this:
http://www.cigar.com/cigars/viewcigar.asp?prod=sp-cighum2
or this:
http://www.cigar.com/cigars/YouPickOffer.asp
for a humidor. Which is more worth the money/features better cigars? I'm unfamiliar with almost all of those...
Actually, the latter deal has some Nubs which I've been meaning to try, and they look like they're at a pretty good price. Thoughts? -
Both deals get you a humidor and a few nails; personally, I'd go with the first deal just because the 10 smokes are so varied and you get more variety/experiments (there are a few nice ones in there, as well as a few cheapos; overall a very good sampler). But if you know what you like already, go with the second one; that Nub deal is worth $30 by itself

The humi is pretty good, but space is quite limited. I have one myself, and I bought the deal with humi + 10 sticks that's already been mentioned. It was a great setup, but I sure did fill it VERY fast. Just found it again, not sure what I'll do with it now. Best of luck to ya bro!
