I have ash envy. I have no idea what it is, but I can't get an ash to hold more than 2" max. I must be too rough with em? I know humidity has a deal to do with it, but mine stay between 65-70 at all times, and still can't get an ash to hold.
Wow, that's a manly, manly ash on that Anejo! Well done!
Thing held like it was cement! I actually had to ash to finish up...I am convinced that if I had set it down, it would have burned entirely to ash and kept standing...*** there's an idea, I have 1 more!

lol. I picked up a couple recently of the Shark. The last one I smoked I noticed the ash hanging on awfully tight, but man that is somethin else!
Sorry guys, I tried to upload a photo, but only the url came up not the photo. I checked the thread on how to upload photos, but as my kids say, I'm an analog guy in a digital world.

I gotcha man. That's a fine looking ash there.
Thanks. How'd you do that?
Take the URL of the actual image, which ends in .jpg, then place it in the following html tag: img src="put your URL here" between greater than and less than symbols.(<>)
Here is one I had from last year. We were burning a unit, and since it was a sunny day I brought along a stogie. The tricky part was, since I was on the holding crew, hiking down the fireline while somehow maintaining my ash! I took a 5 Vegas Robusto down to the band . The ash fell off right after the picture was taken.
Time to see if the pic works :P
nicely Done ... a Firman with a Ash like that working a Fire Line ! LOL Dont come to California and do that! Unless you are the Governator....... they are going to stop smoking everywhere but in a closet like crackheads here in no time!
LOL...I actually spent 3 years on the Los Padres NF out of Ojai. I remember a very nice B&M in Ventura, run by a guy named Vic, though I think it shut down; no surprise given the tobacco Nazi's that run things there now. And now that I am in Montana, I plan on staying here I like my four seasons, unlike California, which just has three...
Last summer, this summer, and next summer :P
yeah man ventura is pretty lame for B&M's at least as far as I've found. Ojai's a pretty cool area most of the locals are crazy old hippies though lol
Yes,it was sitting in my humi over a year and and it was my birthday the other day so decided to lit it up and the ash hold perfect till that point,i usually dont let my ash go that far before i ash but i had couple drinks in me so i played with it.

It is one of my favourite smokes, full bodied,it starts with spiciness that mellows as you smoke it, sweet earty and nutty flavours, usually has an uneven burn but its definatelly one of my top cigars.the smoke is like butter! You should definatelly smoke it!
Well, it ain't much, but it's more than half the cigar, which is the most I've EVER been able to hold onto an ash. I don't know how you guys do it. I can be just as gentle as possible with a cigar, but always it falls off at about 2". This is a JDN Antano Gran Consul I smoked on a lunch break. Right after I took the pic, the ash fell.

Had this Felipe the other night, and I wasn't gentle with it either. I was pretty impressed by how well the ash held on
