Tonight's smoke was Joya de Nicaraqua Celebracion Corona. The first from a box purchased 2 years ago. Very nice stick with a little down time.
Mmm, good cigar.
You got me hooked on those, Tom.
I buried a box at the bottom of the humidor; I plan on letting them age but they're just too good....don't know if I'll be able to keep my hands off for that long
Good to hear your a fan John. A lot of the brothers here are dicovering these sticks. My advice is to by 2 boxes. I bought a box of coronas, one of the churchhills, and one other size that got gifted to the Brett the Irishman. Sooo much easier to let them stayed buried with mutiple boxes. If you look around a little, you can pick these up on the cheap.
I just bought an Ashton VSG. Haven't tried it yet but I heard it was great. I'm smoking a dunhill altamiras today. Really good but a little mild for me.
right now im smoking a padron 1964 maduro that i got while in nicaragua right off the rolling table. it is not pressed or banded. its been resting over two years.
I do like them. I am interested to see how they age. Woody, lots of creamy smoke, slight slight spice, maybe a little grassy note. At clearance price, it's a steal. Very solid cigar, all have had great construction
At retail price, Id go with other connies like HC, Avo's or Room 101.
My father flor de las Antilles.better than my last one but still not my favorite MF. Some puffs are wonderfully and have great flavor. Others not so much. I have been taking my time with it too.
