Smoked a Gurkha Regent last night while studying and then followed it up after work with what I expected to be a quick, average smoke: a CCOM Sungrown Robusto. I was wrong! I'm officially buying more of those!
It paired perfeclty with Captain Morgan, btw. {B-)
Had my first El Rey Del Mundo last night. It was very good, and very different! It had notes that I've never come across in other cigars, so I'm quite impressed!
Over the weekend I had a Padilla Obsidian while working in the yard.
Really went into it with no expectation due to its reputation, and I gotta say I was pretty indifferent with it. Not really good but I had nothing against it either. It burned just fine for me, which is most people's complaints and tasted ok too, just nothing all that memorable for me.
While I was gone for the weekend I managed to ash a Ccom Cameroon Corona front 9, El Mejor Emerald Maduro, with 1 year on it, back 9. Tasty while golfing. Then last night fired up a MOW and just chilled by the back patio.
had a pinar del rio oscuro reserva limitada after lunch.
then i went down to Crescent city cigar shop on Orleans Ave. (between burbon and royal) and i started talking to the owner (Armondo) who is actually a really nice guy and if you are ever in twon you should talk to him as well. He sold me the Curivari the other day. i smoked one with him today. this was a damn good smoke. get them if you can. and if you ever find yourself in the french quarter NOLA, stop in and show that shop some love.
