It seems like every single cigar I ever buy from any B&M anywhere is over-humidified. Their walk-ins feel like a sauna when I go in. At this point I pretty much just bring them home and put them into a humi and let them sit for at least a few weeks and wait.
I bought an over-humidified cigar a few weeks ago - came home, put it in my humi away from the others, and 3 weeks later, it feels the same as all my others (which is to say, it lost some of its humidity/moisture and is now normal)
If it's covered in plume then it was stored correctly, and despite how it feels is probably good to go now. That having been said, i'd still let it rest a couple of days.
