Smoke color?

The other day I was enjoying a cigar and I noticed the differences in the color of smoke coming out of my cigar. The foot of the cigar produces a white/bluish tinted smoke, and the smoke coming out of it's and my head is a gray color. Does anybody know why this is? Is it because of the smoke going through the recently burned tobacco therefor tinting it or what?

    yes. the tobacco in the cigar acts a bit like a filter.

    I've noticed this before and kinda just assumed what Kuzi said. The smoke coming off the foot looks way better in pictures though haha
