As the chump who started this thread I just intended it to be so with no regard to price. That said, for me, $10-$12 is tops I will pay for a cigar. There are MANY excellent smokes for $5 or less especially if you buy by the box. As someone once said,"Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar." Right now I am working some pricing on some Tats to celebrate the upcoming birth of my first child. Ranges for the particular box of 25 have been as high as $300 and as low as $225...which is a big difference in my opinion.
Psycho, don't get that guy started. He smacked me upside my head with a 5 and 6 year old stick. Had the nerve to tell me to smoke them once they rest. Instead of aging them anymore. Wanted me to smoke it so I could tell the difference between a young and old stick. Be careful for what you ask for. You'll mess around and get a few and then be in the dillema I'm in. I still don't want to smoke them. Because I don't have anything in my humidor over 5 months.
Yeah, I can vouch for the havana VI and the Partagas Black. Both excellent, yet very different. . . . . the Camach Tripple Maduro is on my longer list of sticks to try. . . .
wait i should have restated my comment...the havana is amazing, the triple maduro is amazing, the partagas black is a pile of crap. One of the most amazing smelling sticks....virtually no flavor profile, complexity, or anything to it! lol
you know why they smell and look so cool right? I will give the fact that my last one i had the most amazing feel to it...rock hard, yet easy draw and smelled amazing.....but still smoked the whole thing and got so so bored i felt like stabbing myself. Maybe years back the cigar had better blend to it but now, i wont even buy it little lone smoke it even if its free.
