Has anyone bought cigars in Panama City, Panama?

My wife is going there. She voluntarily offered me to buy some Cuban cigars. Can anyone help me with some B&M cigar shop names? I told her not to buy from gift shop and straight go to a cigar shop. I know some people there but none of them are cigar smokers. Any suggestion, name? Thanks.

casa del habanos is closed/closing in panama city. Last time I was there they had like 20 sticks total, and were closing their doors. This was also the location the beetle stick that I sens to dennis came from. If you go to the allbrook mall (she will like this mall it's huge) go to tabacos y ron. Good selection of sticks (rp, 5vegas, and lots of isom's) There is a few other shops in the mall, but many sell fakes. Tabacos y ron is the best bet for smokes. If she wants to do some expensive shopping, have her go to the multiplaza mall. That is where most of the high end shops for clothes and accesories. No cigars there, but good shopping for wives. If you need anything else PM me.

There is also a shop right across from the Marriott that is very popular for the tourists. Some tourists swear by this place, they have a large selsction of smokes, but when you really look, a lot of them have incorrect factory numbers for the brand cigars they are selling. I don't buy anything here, and this is where the ladies of the evening spend there time. Not a great place to frequent, but not bad during daylight hours.

I wouldn't worry about the beetle stick, it was a fluke for sure. these things are 100% natural, which means it happens from time to time.

Finally my wife brought some Cuban puros from the Panama city. She did a good job. I believe the price is not bad. I got: A box of Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro A box of Cohiba Siglo VI 5 Romeo Julieta no.3 tubos 5 Partagas Trinidad double robusto I haven't tried any of the cigar yet but put them in my 300 count humidor table. The hotel helped her to find the cigars. I appreciate to all of you who helped me with information.

There is a cigar kiosk in the Multiplaza mall. It has a small selection at high prices for the Cohibas but ok prices for the Romeo Julietta.

If you want authentic cuban cigars in Panama DONT GO TO TABACOS Y RON!!!! I just bought 2 Behike's for $50 each out of a black lacquer box and when I compared them to a real one back home you could see the difference! The holograms on the label were not the same as well as the dot sizes and black background. Only buy cubans from an authorized Habanos dealer. My loss...,
