Xikar Hydro...

I got one and it always read a weird temp and rh and I did have it calibrated before. So I purchased a new Bovida Calibration kit and put the xikar in there since Thursday.

It reads 90%RH and 75 degrees. On the bovida bag, the RH is suppose shows 75.2. Do I just push the calibrate button on it now??? Its soo off on the RH.

Yeah, if I remember correctly you just hold down the calibrate button until it turns to 75%. I'd do that, and watch it over the next week or so. If it gets out of whack again, I'd call Xikar and have them send you a replacement.

Thanks. I'll try that out. Just figured it would say what it says on the bag.

Can you imagine their customer service? They'd be getting calls every day from people who forgot how their stuff works!

one of my stupid pet-peeves in the cigar world is the replacement of hygrometer with hydrometer.
the former measures humidity. the latter measures specific gravity.

not trying to offend... just pointing out.
