Can someone please tell me why my UPS package sat in a UPS warehouse for two days untouched when it needed to go across country? Ordered early morning on 8/31 and it didn't move until Sept. 2. Really UPS?
Welcome to the club. I'm relatively sure that some computer geek somewhere has put together a processing/delivery schedule that minimizes handling costs thereby improving their bottom line. And I'm also fairly sure that business-to-business shipments are handled much more expeditiously than deliveries to residential addresses. Shooting themselves in the foot doesn't seem to have occurred to them just yet. Go figure....
You can add me to the USPS preference camp. It only takes 2 days for USPS while UPS always takes a full 7-days to arrive. Granted cigar.com ships with humi-pillows which helps keep things in check but I'd rather have them sitting in my humi for 5-days than a hot warehouse or truck. I have gotten some stuff from other cigar e-tailers that had been dried out significantly, the worst being JR. Sometimes you have to wonder about the people who pack the boxes, guess common sense aint that common anymore.
for the record. I hate ups. I have 2 pkgs coming in that I'm VERY excited about... my pif from shawnh and a box of el Titan de Bronze Redemption maddy robustos.

usps strikes again, i make a order from ahhem and i choose the upgrade from regular ship to priority, order ships monday and mail came today and still no box, tracking says it was still 60 miles from here. i make a order for regular ship monday too and will be here monday, is this the companies fault or the shipper , i mean the shipper hires the deliverer right? , i sent 2 emails to the company and no response( not ccom, lol) , so i spent about 5 extra bucks and it will be delivered the same day as a regular ship, hopefully,,, jeeze , priority should be 2-3 , maybe 4 days
I love UPS here in NE Ohio. My last order that shipped with UPS was ordered on a Friday and delivered on Monday. My last order with USPS was ordered on a Friday and wasn't delivered until the following Saturday.
damn... I thought I had it rough. I usually don't get stuff till like 6 or 8. But then if for some reason I'm away from the house they show up at noon. And of course I have to sign. Then I'm f'd. sucks. And I live like 28 miles from their crappy depot.
I can't say I blame UPS.Or anyone else for that matter. You get what you pay for.Free shipping from cigar.com is what it is.I ordered a DD that was shipped via UPS that wound up being transferred to USPS and showed up in my mailbox. My package was scanned and was not scanned again until it reached the next destination two days later. So don't let tracking fool you.If it means that much to you all then upgrade the shipping.Never had a problem with USPS or UPS.

my package was the same way, but it says on the tracking page that it was transferred to the USPS at the request of the sender. It's probably cheaper for ccom to transfer it to USPS, than to have UPS deliver it. I have never had a problem with either UPS or the USPS either, In fact, my last package was transferred to USPS and delivered a day early!
Have never really had problems with UPS. Regular guy knows when I am ordering cigars and during the warm months when I was able to smoke he would always walk up asking to share lol. Good guy.
