AJ Celebration

As some of you know, I teach at a small college in Syracuse, NY. I have a son at Fort Bragg and four of the five world's greatest grandchildren live in Myrtle Beach, SC, so my wife and I have been looking to relocate there for some time. >BR>
I applied for a department chair job in the Rocky Mount and Tarboro area of NC and Wednesday I was notfied that I was selected and they made me a great offer. I have to start on 8/15 so I had to get a place to live quickly and that worked out, so I will be moving Friday.

So to celebrate, I dug out two cigars I've been saving for a special event. When my son and I were at CigarFest 2010, Alex introduced us to AJ Fernandez. My son spoke to him in Spanish and he took a liking to us and rolled us two Ruinations. My wife and I, after a very busy day of getting things ready to move, sat and enjoyed these two special cigars. It was worth the wait!

Ary there any BOTL's in the Rocky Mount or Tarboro area? If so, drop me a line.

Though I'm not in the area, I really enjoyed your story. Those must have been excellent smokes on multiple levels.

Congrats on your move and celebration. As another YankeeMan who has lived below the Mason-Dixon line all I can say is your name has NEVER BEEN MORE APPROPRIATE! LOL. Enjoy it down there, it's beautiful. Every southern town needs a token Yankee.

Sounds like some special smokes to me! Good luck on the move. I love the south. Spent several years in MS and have numerous friends in TN, AL, SC, NC, FL and GA.

I was fortunate enough to get one of these from CFest after meeting Alex and AJ. It was nothing short of earth-moving. I learned a whole new appreciation for cigars after smoking that one. Glad you got to enjoy them as well!
