Pennsylvania Judge Gets 28 Years in 'Kids for Cash' Case

Isn't this the case that came to light after a kid committed suicide over having to go to juvi prison? I think the kid was a model student, had a college scholorship (?) and was about to head out to college and got busted with a pot pipe (no pot, just paraphenalia). Judge senteced him to a real long sentence for a freakin' bowl and the kid ended up killing himself. Glad to know this guy is going to rot.

Yup. This is that exact case. He was a star athlete and all that. He didn't deserve what that judge did to him and now the judge will sit in jail until he is 89 if he even makes it that long. He is currently 61 and has to pay over a million back to the state as well. The kid that killed himself was only 1 story out of 4000!!!

Ah, yes. Pennsylvania. Wonderful state. I was on a construction job in Delaware once when a catholic priest was busted for armed robbery in Pennsylvania just over the border from where I was. Turned out to be a case of mistaken identity but for sure the cops had to believe they had a solid case before they went out to arrest him. Just one of the reasons I stayed out here in California once I got transferred away from the east coast.
