Vegas and the Opus X

Anyone ever stayed at the MGM Grand in Vegas and saw the Fuente shop? Buddy of mine just got back and he said they have the largest supply of Opus X he has ever seen, $40 per cigar!

The Fuente shop I believe is in the forum shops at cesears palace. They may have one in MGM now as well though but I know you can also get a cigar at the shop that they roll fresh right there for you and those run about $20-$30 each. Pretty much its Vegas you can get just about anything you want but you are going to pay a pretty large price markup for it.

buy one if you can find them at a shop for close to retail. I wouldn't pay much more than 15-18 myself... they are good but im not sure about $30 good.

Coming from one who lives in Vegas, anyone who buys a cigar on the Strip needs to have his head examined.  The retailers have to pay amazingly high rents, and they have to get that money somewhere.  They take advantage of the drunk players who want a stick and couldn't care less about the price.  Those players get caught up in the whole environment and could not care less about the price.  The casinos are an assault on the senses, and people lose all sense of money and prices for things.  That's how the casinos exist.

You know, from what I hear there are a feww Fuentes that you can only get a Casa Fuente. So, I guess if you really want them you have no choice but to pay that price. Sucks though. There are a couple that I personally want to try. I have never been to Vegas though. I don't do the whole gambling thing but I know there is more out there than that.
