Forum problems i've been having... no spaces?

Guys, i've been having problems with my posts not adding a line between paragraphs, no matter how many times i press ENTER between them. It just mashes it all together on the thread page. How do i fix this?? it's really annoying... for shiggles i'll try it again and see if it works... So did it work?

you need to type a less than sign followed my br and then a geater than sign. No spaces

Like this >br< just change the signs around so that the mouth points in and not out.

to make it easy i just copy and paste the breaks. its the fist thing i type when i get onto the forum. from there on out its just "Ctrl+V" every time i wanna have a new line.
