I just came back from DC. I went there for a short business trip but luckily found some great cigars. I smoked in Draper, Signature cigar and spent some quality time with some old college buddies. Here are some pictures:
Thanks, actually DC area is great for cigars. Some of the shops have good vintage collection. lately, I have been enjoying Opus X a lot. Aged Opus X cigar has fine, smooth, toasty flavor which is very pleasant. I also ordered a box of Opus X 13. They came to the market and dissappered within days. Washington DC always has the charm to offer the best. My DC source told me that the Opus X 13 cigars are stronger but at the same time very smooth. He warned me without little aging, the Opus X 13s are little harsh. I will age them a little after get the box.
Nice pick up. Of all those cigars, the Don Carlos Edicion de Anniversario and Litto Gomez Diez are my favs. They are all fantastic though, such great picks. I also like the Sun Grown Don Arturo more than the natural.
I believe we have similier taste. I was looking for the Don Carlos EDA for a long time. I would still like to have some more. The Litto Gomez Diez box is from 2008. The box was collecting dust behind other boxes. The owner was kind enough to let me get inside the back room and search for something vintage. If you want some Diez, I can send you some next time when I am in the US. I always appreciate you helping me find good cigar.

Another highlight from this trip was to meet Jamie Garcia in the plane. I made a shot conversation with my bad Spanish. he invited me to visit My Father cigar factory. He is a very nice man. now I have to find a weekend to visit the factory.

wow, what a cool experience. Everyone in the cigar world is so friendly and approachable. Finding a 4yr old box of Diez is amazing. What kind of business do you do that takes you from Nicaragua to DC?
You are right, usually people are nice in the cigar world but the sector has its own issue as well. I meet many cigar people and not all of them are very genuin and sincere. Actually, I am writing an article about it. If I get the clearance I will send it to Washington Post. About my profession please check your inbox-: )
