So I picked one up and was smoking it at the B&M and it was very unimpressive. I smoked an Oval right before it and boy oh boy for half the price I'd take an Oval any day. It was a very sweet and earthy cigar but didn't have that special something especially with a 12.95 price tag. It felt like someone took a LP and watered it down to dilute the taste. It wasn't strong at all and it seemed to just blend with the aftertaste of the oval. Does anyone else share the same thoughts?

I had the completely opposite experience. I smoked one about a month ago and loved every inch of the cigar. It had some good power, and some interesting complexities. Going to try another one very soon.

Agreed, it is definitely on my top 10 list of all time favorite cigars.

I have been VERY impressed with every one I have smoked.

this may have influenced your opinion.scarlin:I smoked an Oval right before it
i would try it again without the oval right before. -
Probably, It just seemed to mild and watered down.kuzi16:

Spencer, I had pretty much the same experience, however, I don't have anything before it. I had a fresh, clean palate and was only drinking water with it. In fact, it wouldn't be far fetched to say that I was quite bored with it.scarlin:So I picked one up and was smoking it at the B&M and it was very unimpressive. I do have another for a revisit and am hoping for better results.
The great thing with this wonderful hobby is obviously, different smokes for different folks. -
what is interesting is that i didnt think it was as amazing as many others do as well. i just normally dont see people expressing that they were not impressed.bandyt09:

the $0.02 i tossed in were simply so that you could give it a fair shake on a clean palate.
you may still be unimpressed but at least youll know that it wasnt due to an overwhelmed palate. -
I had my first Dirty Rat the other night and it was my second #9 smoke. I have heard alot of things about the dirty rat and the only thing I found to not be true was the strength it def did not compare to the MOWPA which some people have compared it too. The couple of things that I wanted to add was this cigar had amazing flavor and burned perfect. I enjoyed this stick at the Casino by my house and when I was done my wife made the comment that I didnt smell like cigar at all. To me it was because this cigar had zero harshness and lots of sweet flavor. A strength bomb it was not but an incredible smoke it was.
