I'm sorry Krieger but I would like to disagree on one point. My wife works for a bank that employs over 200,000 people. That bank lends money and aids in investments for small businesses. If you punish them, you start to see things like accounts that cost money to keep open unlike the good ol' days of free checking. Then, the bank gets blamed for being greedy when in reality, their ability to perform at the same level/standard just got more expensive. In turn, they charge you. I live in the state with the highest income taxes in my bracket. If I didn't aspire to do well however, I could have free health care, state assistance, $650 / month in food stamps (the exact amount my wifes cousin gets for her family of four which is double what my family of 5 spends a month), and cheap rent. Its that type of promotion of ineptitude that is poisoning our country. Stay a burden, don't aspire, those evil rich folks will pick up the tab. Hell, I'm quitting my job on Monday, divorcing my wife, and we'll live fat off the state...... Ineptocracy is so accurate is mind boggling.

FWIW. I'm the owner of an S-corp. (30 years). I've employed as many as 12 people at a time in the past. I now do 1/12 of the work, by myself. With insurances (medical, professional, maritime, auto, unemployment, worker's comp. etc.) and state and federal taxes, state and federal regulation, and all the myriad of forms every f'ing month, it got to the point where I no longer actually did any of my own professional work. I became a Secretary and boss, and it sucked. I now take enough work to cover myself. So when I hear about small businesses, growth economy, etc., I know the issues. The government is standing in my way of growing. Period. Plain and simple. And it is inept. I saw that on a T-shirt!
