humidor setup question

I just got my first humidor.  I "charged" it as described in a few guides.  Now, only after 2-3 hours, it says the humidity is at 75 and going up slowly.  Will it balance out, or do I need to remove the dish of water?  It's warm-hot here so I think the water evaporated quickly and did what normally would take all night (as the guides stated).  Any advice appreciated.  Thanks

i would take the dish out when it hits 80% RH. See if it falls quickly then. If it falls quickly then the wood is not seasoned yet but if it maintains then it should be good to go.
