There aren't many shooting around where I live. But the last few I've heard of, good lord, the number of bullets the police dispense to hit a person. I understand stress and all of that, but come on....
I am a Law and Order guy but when you shoot 9 bystanders before killing the bad guy you either need to improve your marksmanship or change your procedures on when it is OK to shoot, this should not happen!
They need to work on Positive Identification. In the military, we're drilled over and over on it. Not that you would know if you watch the news, but still. You HAVE to know what you're shooting at.
They shot 16 rounds? There is really no excuse for that. I can give them the fact the a pistol is not the most accurate weapon in the world, but you CAN still aim it. Was 16 rounds needed, or were these guys so scared they just pointed and kept pulling the trigger?
