Good question!! For me it only really takes one to two but to buy a box I really have to like it and ill usually squeral a few away to see how they hold up with age. But that's just me
Many times, one and done but I always buy two. Typically, I can tell if the first one might've needed rest or had construction issues, or possibly it was a bad night on the palete. Just depends on the circumstance. But I typically know if I don't like something at first smoke. At this point, if I don't love it....I dot want more. I cannot honestly think of many smokes that got me the second time around.
Only time I buy a box is if it's a cigar I've been smoking for a long time or it came free with an order. My CAO MX2'a, JdN's and REMEO's are always stocked up for my "Go-To". I have a few of the "Free" boxes of cigars and I kind of know why they were free... Usually I buy a couple cigars, smoke one right away, and let the other sit, then smoke it months down the road. If it's legit then I'll buy a 5 pack. If it's legit right off the bat and I only have one I'll get a few more. Space is limited at the moment. If I don't enjoy a cigar that much, then I will save the 2nd one for sitting and see whats up.
3-5, I like to give them a fair shake, but if I have a bad stick, the rest better be pretty darn great. There are too many good, consistant sticks for me to waste money and time on cigar roulette for just a 'good' stick. Exceptions for dirt cheap sticks may apply. I am more willing to give a $2 stick a fifth, sixth, seventh chance that a $10 stick.
I would say 3. If you love one the first time you smoke it and hate it the second time, then your third one might be the tie breaker. If you hate one the first time, like it the second time, the third time will probably seal the deal.
Lmao I changed my mind!! There are a few I find box worthy and the ones I would buy well I can't afford. That being said yeah 5-10 packs are good if you don't fancy them well people on here probably do. So it always gives good reason to bomb!!
