AJ is coming to my house Sunday afternoon. Please let me know if you have any question you would like me to ask him. It just happened randomly through a local friend. AJ invited me to visit his factory thorugh my friend and I also extended my invitation to him for a cigar to my place. He accepted it right away. What a nice guy.

What is his favorite pastime other than cigars?
One thing that really sets him apart to me is the use of PA Broadleaf. I'm interested in what got him started using that versus the more popular CT Broadleaf and why noone else has followed in his footsteps now he has had good success with it.
Enjoy Rip and as always, good stuff!!!
If so, how often and for how long?
Sounds like a great time - have fun!
The meeting went above my expectation. I have met many cigar personalities but AJ is by far the best. He is super straight forward and I never learned so much in one session like yesterday’s afternoon and evening. In fact, we became friends. He was so surprised with my cigar interest that he offered to make a special cigar box for me with a special blend. He extended his invitation to his blending room and asked me to blend a cigar with his professional assistance. We talked about a new blend and he refined my idea here and there. This is going to be fun. We talked about all types of tobaccos and blending. AJ shared so many facts about cigar industry but with condition of trust and friendship. I always take trust very seriously. AJ also extended the invitation to introduce me with Nestor Placensia after hearing my interest about Organic tobacco. Our conversation ran beyond cigars- family, my travel experience in Cuba, politics and world affairs. He is a very smart, sincere and a family man. I am glad to have a friend like him. He also gifted me a box of his latest MAYIBLE. This blend is very close to his heart. I smoked one and liked it very much. It doesn’t have the as usual over spice and power. He also gave me three special cigars blended for the European market and two Maduro Vegas AAA cigars. I gave him a Behike 56, Partagas series D LE 2010 and Don Carlos Anniversary 2006. He smoked a Partagas series E no. 2 and a Man of War Ruination.
I heard good thing about AJ and finally it was so much fun to meet him in person. Here is a picture of AJ in my Man Cave. He was searching for some information about a wrapper. His iphone is full of information and he showed me a lot of cool cigar related pictures. This is why I love cigar- it bring people together and build wonderful friendship.
