I would like to see a variation (not trying to hi-jack your thread Kuzi) maybe a book thread where everyone puts up like 10 or 12 or however many books you have on a list. Other forum members can look and see if theres anything they would like to read and if so PM that member or let them know in the thread. You must be willing to send that book and throw in maybe a couple of smokes to enjoy reading it with to whoever requests it. This way your spreading around books of interest and one more way to try some more cigars. Just a thought ...Again Kuzi ...wasn't trying to hi-jack your deal here ...I'm just sayin' ...
Oh. And I definately don't like the idea of passing around books. Sounds like a perfectly good way to ruin online friendships. I send you a cigar and I don't expect to get it back. I'm a little more attached to my books.
I'm in, I've only read a handfull of books, but definitly want to read more. I've also been slacking on my cigar intake, so this will give me more reason to relax and enjoy a good read and cigar. I'm a little slow, but I wont hold the group back when they pass me. I'll catch up.
I'd probably be down. And like you said if someone doesn't feel like buying a book at the time they wouldn't have to. They could come and go and skip books at their whim. Farenheit 451 was interesting if I remember correctly. I'll have to pull out the ole high school book list.
Li-brar-y....lahy-brer-ree. noun, a place set apart to contain books, periodicals, and other materials for reading viewing, listening and study. A building where materials may be borrowed. Visit often, it is one way to see your tax dollars well spent.
There is a library down the street from me....I will check that out in the next few days to see if they have it. I don't like the idea of having a $12 book that I might not like. But if I do....I can just buy it later!
Looks like the library in the next county over has this book, and my sister says it's one of Margarette Atwood's better novels, so you can count me in.
