Humi bead/Black ice question

Ok, I just got my 8oz black ice pie jar(s). I got them filled properly (thanks for the head up Walt!)

I'm pretty sure I know the answer here, but I'll ask anyway. The pie pieces fit on the bottom perfectly, but if I put the shelf in it sits just above the top of the jars. I'm guessing I should just leave the shelf out?

Yeah, sounds like your shelf would keep the product from being properly exposed to air. You could either drill some holes our leave the tray out.

That's what I figured, I have the shelf out right now.

Ok kids...we're at 74 (old) and 75 (new). 2nd humi started seasoning today....sad thing is...this is pretty much the most exciting part of my day. Let the hygros sit over night and we are ready to rock in the morning!
