USPS .... Curious

So I mailed off two Priority mail packages, 1st = a trade, 2nd = a pass
1st one I dropped off on Thursday 2-13-2014 @ 7:01 AM, Priority Mail 2-Day
2nd one I dropped off on Friday 2-14-2014 @ 7:22 AM, Priority Mail 3-Day

Both still show as of now (Saturday 2-15-2014 9:05 PM) as not out of Reno yet ??
Did the PO shut down early on shipments for the 3-day weekend ?? and so neither one will ship until Tuesday the 18th ??

It's been my experience that postal workers vary in their manner of doing their job. Some post offices are more diligent than others when it comes to scanning the packages for tracking. Your package might show no movement at all until the day it's delivered .... It's just the nature of the beast / IMO....

Don't forget about the crazy weather that has cascaded through the country and that most of the long haul stuff is done by air. So when one or two airports get closed that has a domino effect.
