Now all you C.com writers go to work trying to make me look small or dumb or what? We have had neighbors like that also.
I think I see a common denominator here.
If you wont call customer service (or email as requested) then you really dont want a solution just a problem.
^^^^^^^ this ...... you spent more time here posting silly rants when it would have been easier to just send a simple email. I contend that you do not want a solution. You want to complain. After all this you STILL refuse to do the right thing.... just send them the email as requested.
You have access to my account if your with C.com and can see where I bought one tin of Grand Pearls that were great and then 2 more tins of Grand Pearls that were busted up.
Your move!
I'll post your actions or non-action here next week.
Thanks in Advance?
Oh yeah. The Grand Pearls. Maybe the Grand Pearl Tins are prone to getting damaged. I like the Grand Pearls myself and UPS shook up my tin of Grand Pearls too. There were dents on the inside of the metal lid of the tin where the metal tubos banged into it. My cigars were OK. Mine were not belicoso but I can imagine that the belicoso's heads would suffer more from being banged around by the UPS experience. But you can't resolve the problem unless you go back to the source. You're going to have to email them or call them. None of us who have replied to your post work for cigar.com (except for Tim "The Beard"). We just like how they do business. Especially how they take care of problems that come up. They can't control UPS. There will be damage from time to time. But, they will make it right if you contact them.
Tim "The Beard" does not necessarily have access to your account. I'm almost certain that he would not be able to access your "purchasing" account with just your screen name on the forums. I would bet all the money I could get my hands on that they are very, very separate accounts. He won't be able to help you unless you communicate with him through call or email.

you are going at this all wrong. the forum is not the place to complain about this. in a way, these boards are not connected to your account.
all you had to do was click on thebeard's link and send him an email.
somehow you refused even after he offered to ship things to you for free.
this is no longer C.com's issue. it is YOURS.
you have made several mistakes: 1) when your first box arrived, you didnt call them to tell them what happened. 2) after the second box was messed up you didnt call in and tell them what was up. 3) you posted in a forum that is not designed to deal with customer complaints/issues instead of calling up customer service like you should have. 4) when the people of Ccom went out of their way to help you by stating all you had to do was confirm the order you refused
from my point of view, thebeard has gone out of his way to help you, but you refuse to take the help.
if you do not work within the system provided, it is way harder to make things right.
If you go back and read the post, you will see I was not asking for anything. Just letting folks know about the packing in case they had same problem I did. You mite also notice " I cut my losses"
I have read this entire post and feel that anything and everything that needed to be said has been said already. Thank you for your public service announcement and I wish you the best of luck with whomever you choose to do business with in the future. I will continue to make the bulk of my online purchases with the vendor of my choice C.Com due to the exceptional customer service I have received and witnessed others receive.
If you go back and read the post, you will see I was not asking for anything.
... just complaining
also... not sure what this means then:

iduno... whatever.

many of us have had an issue at some point. but the difference is that we called up and they fixed the problem for no extra charge.
customer service isnt about always being perfect. its a goal every business should strive for but it is unrealistic. Customer service is about taking care of things when they do end up going wrong. I dont have unrealistic expectations about ccom, or any other business. I feel that you do.
soyousee:

im not sure why you would want to cut your losses when, literally, at the click of a mouse, you could have the cigars you want in pristine condition at your house.
i dont wanna jump on the "you are just enjoying making a complaint" bandwagon, but its getting difficult not to.
La Perla Grand Pearls come packed in a tin. Each cigar is also in a metal tube, so no need to remove cigars and store in humidor. I only realized the extent of damage after most of the cigars were gone "there was one of twenty" that was ok. So no call!
To me it would be like eating a meal that wasn't very good and then refusing to pay.
I repeat " I wasn't asking for anything" just informing others of the problem I had. Isn't that one of the things a forum is for?
Surly it's not just for trashing a well meaning person.
We are on other forums for our, cattle, goats, horses, crops, and my Texas Applicator Permit. A permit for chemical use & ability to buy those chemicals. We've never had this happen before so guess it's just smokers who tend to be haters.
PS
If you have never lived around Goats you have missed a true enjoyment. Their antics will crack you up. Sitting in the back yard in the evening with a good cigar and a shot of fine Bourbon watching the herd beats the hell out of TV

this is actually a common misconception. even with a tube inside of a tin it is a good idea to put them in a humidor. those tubes and tins do not have a seal. without a humidor they can dry out fairly quickly.
this could also be the cause of your cigar troubles especially if any of the cigars were out of a humidor in dry central texas air for more than two weeks.

not really. this forum is about cigar talk, not customer service issues. cigar.com has an entire customer service department that handles things like this. they would have been glad to help even after the fact or in preparation of your next order. these guys will bend over backwards to take care of you as long as you give them the opportunity.

i am not trashing you. i am bit frustrated that you refuse to contact customer service to fix a problem even when handed the tools to do so. but i am not mad at you. i promise. i have no beef with you.

quite the opposite. this community is a wonderful group of people and we all just want you to have a positive experience with cigar.com like we have. we are giving you advice and you are taking it personally.
Ok as others have said you have gone about this backwards. 1 if you have a problem call customer service. 2 if customer service treats you bad and won't rectify the situation then you should warn people. 3 when a customer service rep offers to help well you do what you need to do for this to be rectified!

We're definitely not haters. There are a few of us, though, who speak fluent BS and I'm understanding every word you say. You don't want help, you just want to complain. So if that's what blows your skirt up, then keep on keepin' on......

Thought I would respond one last time just to say C.c has not made any effort to contact me even though regardless of what some on this forum believe They do have access to my account, hell it's their web site, they also have my E address. I went to the trouble of adding up my total spent with C.c in the last 2 years.
I give many cigars to friends, for business reasons, & our tech support guys at my bank when I'm there and we have a problem, they love a good cigar.
Looks like C.c is the big loser here.
I started out to just inform other smokers or change the poor shipping methods.
CI is somewhat higher but I've been given many free lighters and other stuff that make great handouts. My total spent with them is higher.
I refrained from commenting on this so far, but did you actually contact customer support or the beard? This is a fourm for people who enjoy cigars, I know people keep saying that, and I'm unsure why you keep posting these updates as if there is something that one of us can do. It is your prerogative to do so, but it doesn't seem like it will acomplish anything.

He said himself that he refuses to contact CCom and just wants to complain. Though complaining without even contacting the retailer gets nothing done. Don't know what the point of this entire thread is if he refuses to contact CCom properly.
So you didn't contact Tim huh...well sorry to hear that you came on a forum to complain where all of us know if you have a problem contact the reps! Didn't take any advice from us and still can't believe nothing was done! Horse here is water maybe you should drink it... On a lighter note looks like the big "T" will be getting a customer lol. Oh and previously you did say you didn't want anything free but you just admitted that

lol. funny. But anyway, haven't we discussed this before regarding CI and Ccom? That supposedly they both shipped from the same warehouse/humidor facility but the companies were different? If you look at the contact information for each one, they are different. So, whats the truth? And if they are the same...why the deceit of two websites?

I was referring to the whiner who started the thread, not JD with that. Ccom and CI are two different companies that share a warehouse. Not sure exactly how this works, but this has been addressed before.

I had read quite a bit of this early on and didn't realize he was flat out refusing to contact customer support. So... he's doing the equivalent of yelling at customers in the parking lot outside of a store who has "wronged" him.
just to add something...... probably shouldnt but......
