OMG,, The GOP has much bigger problems than to worry about vindication on this issuez,, We coud allways brings up Katrina and many many other issuez during his rain.
Ummm....this is a right wing blogger's opinion of an article written by the NYT, not the NYT article itself. From the actual article:
The United States had gone to war declaring it must destroy an active weapons of mass destruction program. Instead, American troops gradually found and ultimately suffered from the remnants of long-abandoned programs
If this is the vindication you have been looking for, i.e. proof of a "long-abandoned" chemical weapons program that was common knowledge, then congratulations.
These were rusted and buried, after being use in the '80's against Iran. What BUSH should have done was warn the servicemen prior to cleaning this up while sustaining mustard gas burns.

And what's more they were OUR chemical weapons. Most of them were developed and sold to Iraq by U.S. companies in the 1980s with the blessing of the Reagan administration. That's the real reason why Bush and Cheney covered up their discovery. They didn't want it to get out that what our brave soldiers were discovering and getting injured by was our own weapons, which by that time were more dangerous as toxic pollutants than as genuine weapons of mass destruction.
