Remember the scene in "The Wizard of Oz" when the man behind the curtain shouts, as the wizard, "Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!" ? Pay no attention to the meaningless fluff in the ads. That particular line (this cigar will satisfy even seasoned aficionados) is just trying to appeal to somebody's or anybody's ego. I would say just watch the specifics. Wrapper, binder, filler. And basic descriptive terms like pepper, spice, woody, etc. And even these are subjective. Bottom line is you may or may not agree with the descriptions given if you try the cigar for yourself.
Seasoned is another word for old right? Bob's right, just marketing, not everybody has the same tastes and tastes change over time. You are your own aficionado, just enjoy the smoke you like and relax. When you get old you're automatically an aficionado anyway and you stick your little pinky out, lol.
