i went to the B&M with a friend today.
...wasnt even20 minutes into my LFD double ligero maduro when this short man walked in with a large luggage style briefcase. I looked him dead in the eye and asked "are you a cigar rep?"
he was
seems that my B&M were ordering more fuente products than usual and the rep was stopping in to work out a deal. while there he managed to hand me the new-to-the-market BrickHouse cigar (Newman cigar, part of the Fuente family) for free.
ha also had a NUB-like bundle in his hand with the name "Quorum" on them
it seems that they will hit shops in the next week or two. I didnt get one of those. the fuente guy left.
a few hours went by and a shipment from LFD came in. Included in that package was the new LFD bundle. (in ohio they will retail for $2.90ish... ) the shop owner gave me one of those as well. (in the Cameroon wrapper)
also while there a Rocky Patel shipment came in.
im not a huge fan of RP but i know you guys are so i thought i would get some pictures for you on this one:

Nice pics there Kuz, I actually found out about those RP Decade tubes when I also went to a local B&M last saturday, however, I didn't know he had others. I think he said those tubes are cedar lined, he mentioned that they're aged a little differently than usual.
Good score on the free cigars too, I'm always buying when they're that price. Oh yeah, and have a Happy Thanksgiving.

I saw the Decade tubos in my B&M the other day. Look pretty cool and the Decade is an awesome smoke. I am more jealous of the LFD stuff! I've always love La Flor's smokes and that is the one company that hasn't had an event here at my shop.

Sounds cool Kuzi. Thanks for the pics. Those all look great and I can't wait to try some. Pretty sweet you got a little hook up. Wonder how many cigar reps hold out and keep freebies for themselves? If you work in the industry you probably get them all the time so no big deal I bet. The guys who work at my B&M get an allowance towards cigars as a benefit of working there.

That brickhouse cigar was recommended to me the last time I was in.....which was a few weeks ago. I have yet to try it, but the owner was a big fan so I'm at least sure it isn't bad.

I had a Quorum before... came in a "We're overstocked and are going to make a grab bag of stuff dirt cheap"
I don't remember it that much, so it must not have been that good
