She stepped up yesterday and the back of her knee popped twice with what appears to be ligament damage. She is immobile right now and is in excruciating pain when she moves it. The ER was totally useless. We will be seeking further medical help on Monday. Pray with me.

Prayers and sympathy from me. I have a long history of knee injuries and treatments, right up to the total replacement. The largest and most stressed joint in the body, most injuries are very painful, but the outcomes may be quite different. What I mean is, sometimes even very painful things heal up pretty well on their own, and sometimes the seemingly lesser things wind up requiring surgery. The great news is that the surgeries are so much better than just a few years ago. Good luck to her, and you.0

Prayers have been sent via GODmail. Legs, knees, hips. Get new ones. Man, the surgeries they do these days are amazing. Some of my friends have had knees replaced and now run around like kids.0

Prayers and good thoughts for your wife and yourself, Gypsy. I can sympathize.... I had a similar experience a number of years ago and you're right - the excruciating pain would bring a strong man to his knees.
Hope all works out well for your wife.

Gyp, Sorry to hear about the accident. As a verteran of some time on the Injured Reserve, I know the injury could be a ligament issue as you suggest or a maybe something else that (while certainly painful) could have a great chance of healing well. I have had some painful experiences that did not require much attention outside of resting /ice and Aleve. So I am kieeping the fingers crossed it's just a minor strain or sprain that will improve with some R&R. For sure go see the ortho.0
