Welcome to the wonderful world of cigars! I have been at this for a while but am new to this site and it is great to see newcomers of the "stick"... the best advise I have ever recieved is what one person likes to toast another may hate. So in the beginig stages of cigar smoking you may find that your pallet will become distinct. and you will learn to dectect the subtle nuances of every cigar you try. So for now, "sample sample sample". Cigars are like wine there are a lot of diferent ones and the best way to find your favorites is to try a lot of them. Oh and just remember to be patient, smoking a cigar is NOT a race to the finish it is a marathon. so kick back, take it slow and enjoy... and although the A. fuente Opus X fuente fuente is my fave, doesn't mean you will like it, and just cause a cigar is expensive doesn't mean it will be good. there are a lot of inexpensive smokes out there that are top notch! That brings us back to SAMPLE! Another thing I remember starting out is smoking cigars is not like smoking cigarettes. I remember smoking 4 or 5 cigars in a day and all I succeded in doing was killing my tastebuds :-) Another thing I see in this new cigar boom is alot of newbies are starting with "ACID" smokes. Although they can be a treat they are not a cigar. But who am I to tell you what you should or should not smoke, if you like flavored smokes then more power to ya. Flavored cigars are a great change of pace and can realy round out a good meal if you need some dessert. And watch ou,t cause you may find some cigar snobs out there and dont let them tell you what you should or should not smoke, your taste is your own and you should keep it that way. Cigar opinions are like religious opinions dont force them on me and I wont force them on you. My last piece of advise is "have fun and enjoy" because collecting and smoking can be addictive... No pun intended.

Ok, not to raise a fuss, but how is an Acid stick, not a cigar? It's an infused cigar, not a big flavored cigarette.

You're Wright it is made with premium tobaco I just find the infusion prosses takes away form the natural tobaco flavors... and dont get me wrong I love my ACIDS and the Natural by Drew Estates Dark angel and the Jucy Lucy. but maybe it was a litle harsh to say it is not a cigar... I should have said it is in a class all its own.
I got one to add. When making a trade be sure to inspect your sticks before sending them. You don't want to send someone a stick that's got cracks in the wrapper or a mold spot or a bug hole.
