Just finished a Vigilante Maduro. Sweet Jesus that was a good stick! Full of natural sweetness and an excellent flavor. I may be crazy, but I swear I was tasting bubble gum, like the old hard pink sticks of gum that came with Topps baseball cards, in the first inch and a half or so. I know that sounds like it wouldn't really be a good thing, but it was. It was so good, this is hands down the best maduro I have smoked yet, I cannot thank you enough Dep. If anyone knows where I can still get ahold of a box of these, please shoot me a PM.

I smoked my first A. Fuente Gran Reserva last night, I aged it almost a year, and it was pretty good. It was actually little milder than what i expected, but still a great smoke.

Had a Cabaiguan Guapo JR last night with a friend. was a nice smoke, reminded me kind of the El Truinfador in flavor profile and body. I thought it would be much milder, but was pleasantly surprised by the nice medium body and rich flavors.

Well, my weekend sickness is over but now I have bronchitis again. I've gotten it a lot lately. April, August, October, December and now March. I used to get it once a year and once in a while twice a year but now this is too much. So, I'm on antibiotics. Haven't smoked since Thursday night. Will probably smoke Wednesday. We'll see how I feel.

Only had time for 30-45 minute smoke---chose a Drew Estate Natural "Juicy Lucy". Lasted about 40 minutes and was great ....very flavorful all the way thru ....@ 3 x 38 a good "quick" smoke packed with a sweet start that turns peppery sweet ...I always try to keep a handful of these around and they are fairly cheap ...seen them for as little as 105.00 for a box of 40 ....

I rode past the local Little League fields, Sunday, and they were out there playing games. Seems awfully early in the year to me.

On Sunday afternoon i spent an hour on the patio with a gurkha turk, overall a very good smoke. I did have a few issues with the draw it seemed very tight as if it was plugged. I ended up poking it with a wire a couple times and it cleared out enough until i burned through it and then it was all good, too bad there was only a couple inches left at that point. I have 5 more turks i guess i will keep "testing" them...

This afternoon I had a RP OWR corojo toro second, the cigar was spot on as far as construction, burn and draw, but it left me wanting more from it...kinda typical of most RP cigars, for me at least. I just came inside after smoking an El Triunfador by Pete Johnson, a good cigar that was marred by the buildup of tar at the head, first time this has ever happened to me...it's like an oily, brown sludge, really thick and terribly bitter if you're unfortunate enough to get some on your lips or tongue, which I was.

He plays High School ball, the first few games were almost unbearable but it is starting to warm up down here. I think it was around 70 last nite, the wind was gusting pretty good though. My daughter is playing league softball and they are about to start their season this weekend.

I would like to have a old southern antibellum home to restore ....wife doesn't think much of that....she's like why don't we build one that style and not worry about all that old stuff.....thats where the difference is, to her its old stuff and to me its history ...besides all the fun of what you could find in the walls ....maybe some old bearer bonds so I could retire and smoke more cigars hahaha

Had a ccom Corojo Label last night. This was an average cigar, nothing special. Had a lot of earthy, grassy flavor to it. A touch of pepper, but not really spicy. The wrapper seemed rather bland, which was the complete opposite of my expectation. I got the sampler with all the sizes, and started on the robusto. Perhaps I will like the other sizes a bit better.

Well last night an Allegro Don Tomas and it was so mild it was a pointless smoke.  Oh well, I just bought it for the metal tupe to be able to carry a RP Vintage with me.

    Has anyone tryed RP R4?

Im thinking of ordering a bundle soon to put in my home built humidor which is just a simple spanish cedar lined box that slips into an existing piece of antique furniture.  Everytime I have checked it, it has never been 70/70, but is always between 62-74'F/60-72%.  Right now it is at 69/64.  It is holding only 30 cigars right now, but will be able to hold at least 150 and most likly it will hold about 230.  Its a great humidor which only cost $40 to build, and I also have ample storage for my other cigar supplies.

Anyways My Faves that I smoke most often are CAO Moontrace, RP Connecticut, and RP Vintage 90/92...those 99s suck, but I cant wait to try the RP Fusions.

    Have A Good Day

I am having a gurkha legend torp. right now. not a bad cigar. I was able to get a darn good deal on a 12er. I'm hoping they age well. I'm sure it will get a little better with 6 months on it. it's rather fresh. Okay so half way through it really opens up. very creamy and chocolaty and loads of smoke. Through the nose it's eve more distinct.
