It was so much fun seeing the smack talk and hits. Every time I light up one of my 3 new pipes I will think of this experience and the generous brother, Marker, who took the time to put so much thought into his hit on me. This was fun and I cannot wait until Secret Santa. Yeah it isn't too early to talk about that. Heck I saw Halloween decorations out at the store today.

Definitely looking forward to the Secret Santa and I hear ya on things being in stores earlier and earlier. There was even a local car dealer running a Christmas commercial the other day lol.

Well as this years Gang war comes to an end with a quiet thud. I would like to say i am very impressed with the carnage. For me, it is not the dollar amount spent, nor the rarity of the cigar or nuts, or whatever, but the thought, time and energy that went into the gift. It was very evident either by the comments made by the sender or the receiver that considerable thought went into the selections sent. Many people needed to search hard to find certain HTF sticks, while others appear to have merely opened their humi and grabbed the desired sticks.

I think it is important to note as well that many people included unique and special things from either their home turf or something to send a thoughtful chill up the other's spine. Either way, I am very proud to have been a part of something like this.

Needless to say though, i did not find the process easy, but i must say I spent a lot of hours searching the threads for snipets and comments from my target, trying to get things that i thought he would enjoy....and i do hope that i succeeded slightly.

In the end though, I would have happily accepted any of the bombs that were sent. They were all amazing, thoughtful and generous. Remember, these were gifts that were sent willingly by people who willingly entered this war! It was in no means meant as means to insult nor one-up anyone. The dollars spent, no matter large or small, to me are not relevant, because they were gifts given in the spirit of giving. I truly hope that everyone was happy with the gift they sent, and the one they received. At no point in time, imho, should the 2 ever be compared...nor should anyone be jeolous of the one another fine botl received. For if you truly sent it as a gift, then all you can do is hope it was received as so.
    Looking forward to next year

.......that is if war is truly over!

Totally agree. Very well said. Great to see the thought and effort put into this. Its not about the dollar amount or the number or cigars/goodies. Everyone wins in this gang war. Can't wait for next year

Well said and I agree. I was on the fence about participating being pretty new to this forum and cigars in general, but it was a lot of fun. I would definitely encourage anyone who's thought about it or thinking about it next year to jump right in and just do it! Everyone's a winner!

So, Joe and I were picked as captains of the teams. It was a great few months talking with joe and organizing this to put you guys against each other. But it came down to Joe and I having to bomb each other. Well, joe has out done himself in this bomb. It weight just under 10lbs when it arrived. Here are the pictures:

We have an event on saturday, and I will make my deposit there. Thanks again to everyone, I really apprecite it.

Very well done folks. It will be a tough decision next year to keep this format or go back to the West kicking the crap out of the East again?

Obviously I didn't participate under the old format but, either way, it would be nice to know which team you're on from the beginning. I liked not knowing who was hitting who and seeing four bombs a week though.
